"Celebration City's Nighttime Spectacular"

Project Description:

Working with the creative team at Herschend Family Entertainment, WOW!Works completely redesigned the Nighttime Spectacular at the Celebration City Theme Park in Branson, MO. The show, which celebrates the Great American Spirit, is comprised of projection on a 50 by 200 foot rock mountain and 100-foot water screen; complimented by theatrical lighting, laser effects, pyrotechnics, and fireworks.

Through dazzling visual imagery, a sweeping cinematic score and incredible effects, this twenty-minute extravaganza showcases America’s love for sports and the pop stars whose music defined a generation. The show continues with a celebration of heroes, great and small as well as joyful family moments. It all culminates in a breathtaking and patriotic salute.

Originally planned to run 1 or 2 years, the show ran for 4 years due to its unprecedented success.

WOW!Works® Role:

As the creators and producers of this spectacular, we developed an exciting and captivating entertainment experience, with no live performers. The entire narrative and emotional journey was created through projected imagery and a stirring musical score

Project Challenges:

Producing, designing, installing, and cueing a production of this scale in 13 weeks
Ensuring the operational team was trained well to ensure the maintenance and integrity of the show after opening
Covering the entire 200 foot span of a rock mountain with PIGI projectors, augmenting 100 feet of video projection also on the rock mountain, as well as rear projection on the water screen
We expanded on the existing lighting system and integrated the lighting design into the projected imagery to create a seamless visual experience
